I was born and raised near Detroit, Michigan. Most of my family members are either scientists or educators, so naturally, I decided I wanted to become a science teacher when I was in the 8th grade. When it was time to choose a college, I decided on Michigan State University for their highly recommended teaching program. After graduation, I moved to Texas for my current teaching position. I have been teaching and coaching cheerleading at Magnolia West High School for four years. I plan on continuing to teach and I hope to complete my master's degree from MSU in Fall of 2011.
